ABU DHABI // Drivers are being targeted as part of a safety campaign in the capital. The Abu Dhabi Police Traffic and Patrols Directorate has intensified its traffic awareness efforts during Ramadan, in collaboration with the Saeed Society to Reduce Traffic Accidents. The programme aims to encourage motorists to comply with traffic laws, reduce speed, pay attention, use seatbelts, avoid using hand-held mobile phones and maintain a safe distance between vehicles. It has also called on motorists to avoid blocking roads or exits and refrain from parking randomly in front of mosques during Taraweeh prayers.
