ABU DHABI // Tickets for the third Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will go on sale tomorrow. The Formula One race at Yas Marina Circuit is scheduled for November 11 to 13.
Last year’s sold-out event went down to the wire with three drivers in contention to win the championship. Sebastian Vettel won the race and the world champion title in front of 50,000 spectators.
There is a 20 per cent discount for grandstand tickets purchased early, according to the Yas Marina Circuit Facebook page. Prices have yet to be announced.
Last year, 90 per cent of the tickets were sold one month before the race, with the final tickets bought in the last week. This year, the three-day event starts with a practice run, followed by qualifiers for the race, where the cars will reach speeds of 300kph on one of the longest straights of all 19 Formula One circuits.
This year’s race is the penultimate of the season, which finishes in Brazil two weeks later.
Tickets have included entry to concerts in the past. Last year, Prince played live after the race, with Linkin Park and Kanye West playing the two nights before.
