Abu Dhabi has announced new regulations for the registeration of classic cars.
As of October 1, classic vehicles will be separated into two categories — road cars and display cars.
Cars that will be driven on the roads will now have a one-year registration costing Dh400, with a renewal fee of Dh350, provided that the vehicle passes an MOT and has a 13 month's-worth of insurance.
Display cars that will appear in exhibitions and other events, but that are not fit for roads, will now need a three-year registration fee costing Dh1,100, with a renewal fee of Dh1,050.
