A number of roads will be closed in <a href="https://www.thenationalnews.com/uae/government/2022/02/09/sheikh-mohammed-tests-new-cycle-path-at-jumeirah-beach-dubai/" target="_blank">Dubai</a> on Saturday as thousands of riders gear up for a major cycle race. The 12th annual Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge will take over the emirate with elite riders and cycling enthusiasts alike saddled up for success. The main 94.8km route will weave through the city, passing landmarks such as Emirates Hills, Global Village and <a href="https://www.thenationalnews.com/uae/expo-2020/2022/02/18/meet-the-expo-worker-on-a-mission-to-collect-pin-badges-from-192-nations/" target="_blank">Expo 2020 Dubai.</a> A shorter 40km challenge will also take place. The races get under way from 6.15am on Saturday at Dubai International Stadium in Dubai Sports City. This year's event has won international recognition as it will be part of the UCI Gran Fondo World Series, which is made up of 28 races all over the world.
