DUBAI// A number of accidents in the capital and in Dubai disrupted morning traffic today for motorists.
A 10 car pile-up caused a major traffic jam in Shahama, and a helicopter was seen hovering over the area.
Dubai Police said that a number of vehicles had been involved in an accident on Al Khail Road before the Business Bay, heading towards Al Rashidiya, at around 7.30am. Police tweeted the accident had resulted in congestion in the area.
There were also reports of a truck crashing along the Dubai-Al Ain Road, opposite the Skycourts Towers, just before midnight last night.
