Members of Dubai's ruling family have again visited Britain this summer. Earlier this month, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, was the first visitor to London's newest restaurant, an outpost of the popular home-grown Dubai spot Parker's. And on Sunday, his son, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, shared a photo of himself shopping at UK supermarket Tesco with two of his children. Parker's opened its doors on August 12 and welcomed Sheikh Mohammed to its new Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel location. In a video posted by Parker's London on social media, Sheikh Mohammed visits the Belgravia restaurant. Dressed casually, he walks into the restaurant, smiles and greets customers, and is served a cup of Arabic coffee. Famed for its Matilda cake, an oozing chocolate creation inspired by a character from Roald Dahl’s Matilda, Parker's is a concept from UAE hospitality company Independent Food, the same group behind the region's much-loved burger venture Salt. The restaurant is in the soft-launch phase, with only residents of London's Jumeirah hotels and those who have found keys hidden around the city welcome to dine in. Clues regarding key locations are being shared on Parker's London's Instagram stories for any readers keen to join the hunt. Sheikh Mohammed's visit to Parker's coincides with a summertime visit to the UK. His son, Sheikh Hamdan is also enjoying his summer in Britain, and recently shared a video on Instagram that showed his father likely hugging his youngest son, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan. On Sunday, he shared a photo of himself shopping at UK supermarket Tesco with two of his three children. “Family grocery shopping,” he captioned the image of himself pushing the trolley. From the image, it is not clear which part of the UK they are shopping in, but he also shared a photo of the London skyline on his Instagram Stories. The image shows daughter, Sheikha Shaikha bint Hamdan, three, reaching into the trolley. In the UAE, Tesco products are available at Choithrams supermarkets. The Crown Prince of Dubai also appears to have enjoyed some summer downtime with a visit to the Scottish Highlands. Sheikh Hamdan, who is also known as Fazza, shared a series of stories with his 16.5 million Instagram followers that appears to have been taken in Scotland. One clip shows a group fishing in front of what looks like Scotland's rolling hills, followed by a shot of a hefty haul of mackerel – one of the most popular and abundant fish species in Scotland. While it is not made clear exactly where Sheikh Hamdan and his family have been are holidaying, his father owns the Inverinate estate in Wester Ross overlooking Loch Duich, so it is possible this is the waterway seen in the Sheikh Hamdan’s summer snaps.
