In case there was ever any doubt, Chanel reiterated its star-pulling power this week, at its autumn/winter 2015/16 haute couture presentation during Paris Fashion Week.
On this occasion, the celebrities weren’t confined to the show’s front row. Instead they were an integral part of the casino-themed presentation, forming a star-studded centrepiece around which all the action took place. “All of the people you see here are friends. They loved the idea,” said Karl Lagerfeld of his celebrity-studded cast.
Leading the charge was actress Kristen Stewart, who was joined by a string of Lagerfeld’s ‘muses’: Julianne Moore, Vanessa Paradis and her daughter Lily-Rose Depp, Lily Collins, Lara Stone and Rita Ora, to name but a few.
Each sported custom-designed Chanel couture, paired with platinum and diamond re-editions from Bijoux de Diamants, the only fine jewellery collection to be created by Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel, in the 1930s.
