BERLIN // Wladimir Klitschko's management says the highly anticipated fight between the Ukrainian IBF and WBO heavyweight champion and WBA title-holder David Haye will take place at the Imtech Arena in Hamburg on July 2.
The Klitschko Management Group said a deal was reached with the Bundesliga club SV Hamburg to use their 57,000 capacity stadium for the fight, which was originally due to take place in June 2009.
"We're all very happy that this mega fight has finally been confirmed. We are expecting this event to be shown live or delayed in well over 150 countries," the KMG executive Bernd Boente said.
Haye brings a 25-1 win/loss record with 23 knockouts to the fight. Klitschko has a 55-3 record with 49 knockouts.
