Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola adorns The National Sport front page on Wednesday, December 14 after he was forced to defend his methods following his side's recent defeats.
City host Watford in the Premier League on Wednesday night aiming to bounce back from successive losses to Chelsea and Leicester City.
The manner of the defeats, where City conceded seven goals, has led to scrutiny of Guardiola’s methods, specifically his team’s defensive structure.
But while the City manager said he needs to “adapt”, he insisted he will never change his outlook.
“Of course I have to adapt, but that doesn’t mean I change the way I believe,” he said. “I believe in the way I like to play, I am sorry. If I cannot do that, the chairman will decide. But there’s no way I will change.”
