Villa held at Bolton

BOLTON // The points were shared at the Reebok as Tamir Cohen marked his first start of the season with an equaliser to cancel Ashley Young's opener. Young gave Villa the lead two minutes before the interval with a goal completely out of the blue. The winger curled in a shot from just outside the area and it went in off the post with goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen seemingly distracted by the presence of John Carew. But on the hour mark, Andy O'Brien headed the ball on to Cohen and the Israeli scored with a venomous volley from 10 yards out. A draw leaves Villa fifth, but with virtually no chance of catching Arsenal for the fourth Champions League spot. Bolton are almost safe in 13th, seven points away from the drop. sports@thenational.ae
