It was an eventful Saturday at the third round of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship. Phil Mickelson charged ahead with a nine-under 63 to move into second, two strokes behind Scotsman Craig Lee. His day included an incredible recovery on the 18th hole, in which he hit into the bunker on his tee shot, then placed his second shot behind a couple trees next to the grand stand. He proceeded to line his shot through the trees and hook it back onto the green, before nailing a 40-foot putt for birdie. Rory McIlroy was similarly in form, shooting a 68 that turned into a 70 after he was hit with a two-stroke penalty for failing to take full relief and leaving his foot a tick too far over the white line after he needed a drop at the second hole. Lee, at 12-under, heads into Sunday looking for his first European Tour victory. Mickelson and McIlroy will be putting the pressure on, as will the seven other golfers within four strokes of Lee. Check out the video below to see what Mickelson had to say about his great day and wild ride on the 18th hole, what McIlroy thought about his penalty and how Lee looks at fending off the two going into the final round on Sunday.
