KAMPALA // Bobby Williamson has been unveiled as the new coach of Uganda. The 47-year-old Scot has signed a two-year deal to replace Hungarian Lazso Csaba, who quit the east African country last month to take charge of Scottish Premier League club Hearts. The former Plymouth, Kilmarnock and Hibernian boss, sacked by League Two side Chester in March, said: "It is good the national league [in Uganda] is in progress. I am happy to be here to start a new challenge in Africa."
His immediate task will be to help the Cranes qualify for the final round of 2010 World Cup and African Nations Cup qualifying. They are currently third in Group Three, level on points with Angola and two behind leaders Benin. * PA Sport
