The UAE has announced a further 525 new coronavirus cases, taking the country’s total to 9,281. There was also eight deaths and 123 recoveries over the last 24 hours. On Friday, Dubai residents were allowed to leave home without a permit after the government eased restrictions on personal travel. The <a href="https://www.thenational.ae/uae/government/coronavirus-dubai-lifts-permit-restrictions-to-allow-shopping-and-exercise-1.1010340">decision allowed people</a> to move freely between 6am and 10pm for the first time since April 4. The city's beaches will remain off-limits however, according to a spokeswoman for Dubai Media Office. UAE authorities said <a href="https://www.thenational.ae/uae/government/uae-disinfection-drive-hours-reduced-to-10pm-to-6am-for-ramadan-1.1010258">the national disinfection</a> drive would be carried out over the eight-hour period, when people should stay indoors except in case of emergency.
