Sharon van Rouwendaal made it to The National Sport cover on Tuesday for her gold medal win in the Olympic women's open water race at Copacabana.

The Dutchwoman touched the timing board before her closest challenger had even entered the finish chute, such was her dominance. The winning margin was 17.4 seconds.
