According to reports in Seoul, the fee is will be around £2.1 million (Dh12.4m) for the striker, who scored 11 goals in 39 appearances for Chunnam since making his professional debut in 2010. Sunderland also agreed the signings of Coventry City goalkeeper Keiren Westwood and Birmingham City midfielder Sebastian Larsson. The pair will arrive on free transfers on July 1.

Chelsea

Didier Drogba is not on AC Milan's wish-list, according to Adriano Galliani, the club vice-president. Reports in Italy have claimed that Milan want to replace Antonio Cassano with the Chelsea forward this summer. Cassano is a reported target of Serie A side Fiorentina. However, Galliani has told Corriere dello Sport: "We are covered in attack and hence, Drogba will not arrive." Fernando Torres's big-money move to Chelsea in January led to growing speculation that Drogba, 33, could leave this summer.

Olympics

The English Football Association said the home nations who object to an all-British football team at the 2012 London Olympics legally accept that they cannot stop their players featuring in the tournament. The British Olympic Association (BOA) announced on Tuesday that players from England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland are eligible to play for Team GB following an "historic" agreement with the English FA. That angered the Welsh, Scottish and Northern Irish associations, who reiterated their objections to their players being selected. But Alex Horne, the general secretary of the English FA, said yesterday that "all three associations have notified us ... they acknowledge that legally we are entitled to support the BOA in the selection process."

Wolves

Wolverhampton Wanderers have completed their second signing of the summer with Dorus de Vries moving from Swansea City on a three-year contract. The Dutch goalkeeper, 30, was available on a Bosman transfer with his contract with the Premier League newcomers expiring on July 1. He will follow Jamie O'Hara, the midfielder who signed from Tottenham in a £5m deal on Tuesday, to Molineux. De Vries will provide competition for first-choice keeper Wayne Hennessey after the release of Marcus Hahnemann.

Arsenal

Remi Garde, the former Arsenal midfielder, has been appointed as the new manager of Lyon, the seven-time French champions. Jean-Michel Aulas, the club president, announced. Garde, the French side's youth training centre director, replaces Claude Puel, who left on Monday.

Aston Villa

Glasgow Rangers, the Scottish giants, have confirmed they have lodged an offer with Aston Villa as they step up their bid to take Carlos Cuellar back to Ibrox. But Craig Whyte, the owner, has told new Villa manager Alex McLeish that Allan McGregor is not for sale. McLeish has been linked with a move for the Scotland goalkeeper but it appears unlikely he will be used as part of a deal to lure Cuellar to Glasgow. The Spanish defender, 29, spent the 2007/08 season in Scotland.
