LONDON // Tottenham staged a second-half comeback to reach the FA Cup semi-finals with a 3-1 victory over Fulham yesterday.
There was further good news for Spurs as Everton's 2-0 win in the Premier League against Manchester City means the North London club stay fourth in the league, and in one of the valuable Champions League spots.
After trailing through Bobby Zamora's first-half goal, Spurs hit back after the break with substitutes David Bentley and Roman Pavlyuchenko scoring before Eidur Gudjohnsen sealed the replay victory.
In the league title race, Chelsea moved to within a point of leaders Manchester United by cruising to a 5-0 victory over bottom of the league club Portsmouth.
While Portsmouth are consigned to relegation after being docked nine points for seeking bankruptcy protection, they do have an FA Cup semi-final against Tottenham to look forward to on April 11.
