Schweinsteiger sees no funny side

According to Bastian Schweinsteiger, Bayern Munich will be a laughing stock if they lose to Hoffenheim at the Allianz Arena tomorrow night. The Bundesliga's top two lock horns in a game which could have a big bearing on the title race. Top-flight new boys Hoffenheim have a three-point lead over second-placed Bayern going in to the clash, and Schweinsteiger knows all the pressure will be on the defending champions.

"Hoffenheim have nothing to lose," he told Bild. "If they win then all of Germany will be laughing. If they get a point then the nation will grin. And if they lose then nothing will happen." Meanwhile, Hoffenheim hitman Vedad Ibisevic insists he will stay with the club next season. The Bosnian, 24, has scored 17 goals in 15 games this season. That form has reportedly attracted the interest of some of Europe's top clubs, including Bayern Munich and Manchester United,.

"The enquiries from other clubs make me a bit proud," said Ibisevic. "But I will definitively stay with Hoffenheim next season." * PA Sport
