Roma are determined to hold onto Radja Nainggolan despite reports claiming the Belgium international will play in the English Premier League next season.
The 27-year-old midfielder has been strongly linked with Manchester United in recent months and Liverpool are also reportedly keen to acquire Nainggolan’s services.
Roma, meanwhile, are hoping to buy Nainggolan outright this summer but have yet to reach an agreement with Cagliari, who part-own the midfielder’s sporting rights.

When asked about Nainggolan’s future, Roma president James Pallotta said to the Italian press on Tuesday: “We are working every day on this.
“We want him to remain and he wants to stay with us.”
Nainggolan made 30 league starts for Roma and scored five goals while setting up two more to help the Giallorossi finish second in Serie A in the 2014-15 campaign and qualify for next season’s Champions League.
He arrived in Italy in 2005 to play for Piacenza Calcio.
Nainggolan then moved to Cagliari in 2010, scoring seven goals in 131 Serie A games for the Sardinian club before joining Roma on loan in January 2014.
Roma purchased 50 per cent of Nainggolan’s registration rights last summer for six million euros and the player is under contract with the Giallorossi until June 2018.
