The pair took to the scales at the newly opened Etihad Arena, with Holloway up first. The former featherweight champion, seeking to rebound from successive losses, weighed in at 146 lbs, with that mark matched by Kattar a little later. The five-round bout, which concludes the opening night at the three-event UFC Fight Island, promises much. The division's No 1-ranked contender, Holloway remains one of the most popular fighters in the sport. Both fighters competed on the inaugural Fight Island in July. Another UFC Fight Night follows on Wednesday, with the blockbuster UFC 257 to come on Janaury 24. That event, the promotion’s first pay-per-view show of the year, is headlined by Conor McGregor’s lightweight clash against Dustin Poirier. It represents McGregor's first competitive appearance in more than a year, and is his UAE debut.
