Another day, another slick-looking video charting preparations for the upcoming UFC Fight Island in Abu Dhabi. Fresh from Tuesday's first peek at how next month's four-event series on Yas Island was shaping up, organisers have put together a second update. The latest video focuses on the progress at Flash Forum, the venue for the curtain-raising UFC 251 on July 12 and Fight Island’s three other events, which run July 16, 19 and 26. Organisers told The National on Tuesday that the forum will be built to the "same Abu Dhabi level of standard" as the venue used for UFC 242 on Yas Island last September. However, given the current public health guidelines, no fans will be able to attend this time. Flash Forum falls inside the 25-kilometre “safe zone” that will house everyone connected to Fight Island for the best part of the next month. The new video, shot by the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi, also shows the outdoor octagon constructed on Yas Beach, sections of the safe zone, and what the fighters and other international delegates can expect upon arrival in Abu Dhabi. The first flights are due to touch down in the capital on Saturday. UFC president Dana White shared his excitement on Twitter, writing "UFC Fight Island Part 2!! I can’t wait to get there." UFC 251 is headlined by welterweight champion Kamaru Usman's match-up against Gilbert Burns, the division's No 1-ranked challenger. Also, Australia's Alexander Volkanovski defends his featherweight crown in his rematch with former champion Max Holloway, while Petr Yan faces Jose Aldo for the vacant bantamweight belt. The July 19 event will feature another title fight, with Deiveson Figueiredo and Joseph Benavidez going up against one another for the vacant flyweight strap.
