Organisers of UFC Fight Island are taking stringent measures to ensure the safety of all involved. A <a href="https://www.thenational.ae/sport/other-sport/ufc-fight-island-organisers-say-abu-dhabi-preparations-in-final-stages-1.1041912">25-kilometre "safe zone"</a> has been created on Abu Dhabi's Yas Island where fighters, their teams, and event staff will remain throughout. However, before reaching the "safe zone", everyone needs to be safely transported from Abu Dhabi Airport to Yas Island. Ahead of the first batch of arrivals for UFC 251, which takes place on July 12, airport staff have been undertaking a series of dry runs to ensure the arrivals process is undertaken as safely and seamlessly as possible. UFC 251 will be the first of four shows over a two-week period in July. Three Fight Night shows will then take place on July 12, 16, 19 and 26. Take a look through the photo gallery above to look behind-the-scenes as airport staff prepare for the arrival in Abu Dhabi of Dana White, Kamaru Usman, and the rest of the UFC.
