UAE Team Emirates secured their first Tour de France victory when Tadej Pogacar won the General Classification on Sunday.

Delivered in the most dramatic of circumstances, Pogacar usurped race leader Primoz Roglic on the penultimate stage's mountain time trial, overhauling a 57-second deficit on his fellow Slovenian to grab the yellow jersey just in time for the ceremonial final stage.

Pogacar, who turned 22 on Monday, is the youngest winner of the Tour de France in 116 years and the first Slovenian to win the race.

His victory, achieved on debut, also marked the first Grand Tour triumph for UAE Team Emirates since its formation in 2017.
