Oliver George will look to build on his victory in Al Forsan in the DD2 class last month when he takes to the track in the latest round of the UAE Rotax Max Challenge at Dubai Autodrome on Friday. George prevailed two weeks ago despite suffering gearbox problems to extend his lead at the top of the championship from Sanad Al Rawahi and Aranud Bouf, who both need to win today if they are to keep their championship hopes alive. In the 125 Max category, Abdullah Al Rawahi now leads the series from Philippe Valzenza. Both drivers will be at the front again today, but will have to contend with the likes of Ameer Hassan and Piers Pakenham-Walsh. The former points leader, Alexandre Silanine, will be hoping that his fortunes improve. He has been hampered by problems over the last few races that have cost him dearly and seen him slip to third in the table. Pasqual Pook needs to win in the Junior 125 MAX class to keep his chief rivals Taymour Kermanshahchi and Guilio Peroni at bay. Tehmur Chohan is the favourite to take victory in the Mini Class, while Sem Knopjes will be looking to continue his dominance in the Micro Max category. Follow us
