Drew McIntyre and Bayley win the briefcases and Becky Lynch retains both her titles: WWE Money in the Bank predictions

A look ahead to the event on May 19 with Kofi Kingston predicted to lose by disqualification as Elias gets the biggest win of his career against Roman Reigns

  The Miz beats Shane McMahon in a cage match. McMahon winning at WrestleMania 35 was a shock but in hindsight made sense, given his actions on SmackDown. Miz needs to win here in the blow-off match to give himself some momentum on Raw. McMahon can lose here and get some heat back later by interfering in the Roman Reigns v Elias match.   Becky Lynch defeats Lacey Evans to retain the Raw Women's Championship. Evans could be a good heel champion in the future but this is too soon. Lynch wins in a match that should be early on the card. Evans can beatdown Lynch post-match to get some heat back. Image courtesy of WWE

  Samoa Joe retains the WWE United States Championship against Rey Mysterio. Hard to see a title switch here. Joe needs a long reign with the belt and this should be a straightforward title defence. Image courtesy of WWE

  Bayley wins the Women's Money in the Bank match. Bayley is another Superstar desperately in need of a big moment. This can set up a number of scenarios and a feud with Becky Lynch could be what she needs. Does she cash in on the night? No, I think she threatens it, presuming her win is before Lynch v Charlotte Flair, but she does not do the deed of cashing in on a weakened champion. Image courtesy of WWE

  Kevin Owens wins via disqualification against Kofi Kingston; Kingston retains the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. This feels like the start of a feud and this should see Kingston show his anger towards Owens over his heinous behaviour towards his New Day pals. Kingston snaps with a brutal assault and he loses the match but keeps the title. That could set up a no disqualification match in Saudi Arabia on June 7. Chris Pike / The National

  Seth Rollins beats AJ Styles to retain the WWE Universal title. Like Kingston v Owens, this feels like the start of a rivalry. This should be a cracking match but Rollins retains, with Styles getting another crack in Jeddah. Image courtesy of WWE

  Elias beats Roman Reigns. This could be upset of the night. Reigns gains nothing here by winning as he has been so dominant. Elias could be facing the Undertaker in Jeddah and so a big win helps him. Obviously this will involve help from Shane McMahon and can continue the build to a potential Reigns v McMahon match at a later date. Image courtesy of WWE

  Drew McIntyre wins the Men's Money in the Bank match. There is an argument for Finn Balor or Braun Strowman winning this but McIntyre needs this badly. His character has become formulaic and he needs something to back it up. Having the briefcase achieves that. Image courtesy of WWE

  Becky Lynch defeats Charlotte Flair to retain the SmackDown Women's Championship. This should be the main event with the presumption Lynch has to lose one of the titles so she drops it here. Except she doesn't. WWE dropped the ball a little with how she won the titles at WrestleMania 35 and beating Flair in a second match of the night and keeping her as "Becky Two Belts" for a little while longer can only be a good thing. The WWE's first network special since WrestleMania 35 takes place on May 19 in the shape of WWE Money in the Bank.

The event is happening at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut, and starts at 4am UAE time on May 20 and can be watched on the WWE Network.

It should be a big night of action with both the men's and women's Money in the Bank matches, while Becky Lynch defends both her women's world championships.
