Amanda Nunes v Felicia Spencer: Times, fight card and how to watch UFC 250 in UAE

The UFC hosts another marquee event on Sunday, with the return of two-division champion Amanda Nunes headlining in Las Vegas. Here’s the details

What is it?

UFC 250, the latest installment in the world’s lead mixed martial arts promotion.

When is it?

June 7 (June 6 in the United States). The main card kicks off at 6am UAE time.

Where is it?

The UFC Apex, the promotion’s own facility in Las Vegas. Given the measures implemented because of the coronavirus crisis, the event will again take place without fans in attendance.

Who is fighting?

Nunes’ featherweight title defence against Felicia Spencer heads the card. The supremely talented Brazilian, a guaranteed future UFC Hall of Famer, holds both the featherweight and bantamweight belts, and is widely viewed the best female fighter in mixed martial arts history.

Aiming for an 11th consecutive victory across the divisions, Nunes (19-4) last fought at featherweight in December 2018, when she stopped Cris Cyborg in 51 seconds to take the title. She was in action most recently last December, defending her bantamweight crown with a unanimous decision over Germaine de Randamie.

Spencer, meanwhile, rebounded brilliantly from her only professional defeat by defeating Zarah Fairn in February, the win coming via a first-round TKO. The Canadian, 29, boasts a 8-1 record, and even emerged with huge credit from last July's loss to Cyborg.

Other highlights on the card include Aljamain Sterling against Cory Sandhagen, with the winner set for a title shot at the now-vacant bantamweight title following Henry Cejudo’s shock retirement last month.

Also, the unbeaten Sean O’Malley's bantamweight clash against Eddie Wineland is another to look out for on what is a stacked main card.
