Fernando Alonso lamented Ferrari's lack of pace after he toiled to eighth place in yesterday's Turkish Grand Prix. The double world champion had only qualified 12th and fared little better in the race. The Spaniard overtook Vitaly Petrov's Renault late in the race to take eighth, and acknowledged the Italian team were not on the same pace as Red Bull-Renault and McLaren-Mercedes. "We have been a bit surprised, as both in Barcelona and here we were not too competitive," he told Spanish television after the race. "All race Felipe [Massa, who finished seventh in the other Ferrari] fought with Rosberg and I fought with Petrov, so we are at Renault's level, which is obviously not enough. We have an improvement for Canada and then for Valencia we have a bigger package.
