ABU DHABI // Faisal Al Ketbi completed a gold medal double by winning the open-weight brown belt category to round off the Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship on a high note for the host nation.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and the Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, watched the fight and later presented the championship belt to Al Ketbi.

Al Ketbi was adjudged the winner after a 1-1 deadlock at the end of the five minutes against the Brazilian Marcio Barbosa.

The Emirati has won the gold in the open-weight since the belt was introduced three years ago. He was not available for comment as he had to leave immediately after the presentation for an X-ray on an injured finger.
