Abu Dhabi-Proton Racing and Khalid Al Qubaisi head to France for Le Mans testing

The Abu Dhabi-Proton Racing team, led by Khalid Al Qubaisi, will head to La Sarthe Circuit in France for testing ahead of 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The legendary Le Mans race, which will take place on June 18-19, is Round 3 of the FIA FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), and testing for the event will be held on Sunday.

Testing will allow teams and drivers to test their cars and familiarise themselves with La Sarthe Circuit.

The Abu Dhabi-Proton Racing team will be behind the wheel of the No 88 Porsche 911 RSR as they take on some of the best in world endurance racing in class, with Al Qubaisi making his fourth appearance in a row where he finished second in class in 2014.

“It’s always great to be back to La Sarthe. I’m looking forward to the test day and really can’t wait to start the legendary race after 2 weeks,” Al Qubaisi said. “Le Mans test is, of course, very important. It will give us a great opportunity to set up the car for the 24H race and to be prepared drivers aboard our Porsche 911 RSR.”
