The EGL Eagles defeated the SLAF Allstars in a closely fought American football game at Sports City in Dubai on Friday.

The two teams from the UAE and Saudi leagues could not be separated at full-time and it took a Liam Caldwell touchdown in overtime to separate the teams with the UAE's Eagles winning 18-12.

EGL head coach Patrick Campos said: “I knew that they would come here and play hard, I was surprised that their running back would just not go down, that guy was a work horse out there but we knew that they were hungry for a win against the UAE.”
