Brandon Saad and Dave Bolland each claimed a brace as the Chicago Blackhawks coasted to a 7-1 win over the Detroit Red Wings. Saad also added an assist, while Jonathan Toews had a goal and two assists and Jeremy Morin and Nick Ledd also tallied. Cory Emmerton got the Red Wings on the board. Ruslan Fedotenko netted an overtime winner as the Philadelphia Flyers rallied to beat the Washington Capitals 5-4. Kimmo Timonen had taken the game into OT with a tying goal less than 10 seconds from the end of regulation. Goals from David Krejci and Nathan Horton gave the Boston Bruins a 2-0 win over the Buffalo Sabres. The Columbus Blue Jackets edged out the Anaheim Ducks 2-1 in overtime and the Los Angeles Kings were 3-2 winners over the Dallas Stars. Meanwhile Sidney Crosby, the Pittsburgh Penguins captain, will be sidelined indefinitely after surgery to repair a broken jaw and damaged teeth. Crosby left Saturday's 2-0 win over the New York Islanders after taking a puck to the face and was immediately hospitalised for treatment. Ray Shero, the team's general manager, visited Crosby on Sunday and revealed the Canadian's jaw avoided needing to have his jaw wired shut or showing signs of concussion - although he has lost several teeth. "I was surprised. He looked really good for what I was expecting," Shero said. "He was in good spirits, up and around. "Over the next few days we'll see how things go and get some sort of time frame on it at some point. We'll try to update later in the week if we can. "The whole injury could have been a lot worse," Shero added. "When you get hit in the mouth like that on a deflected puck. Hopefully, everything is OK. He didn't get hit in the eye. The jaw can be repaired." Follow us
