Nad Al Sheba Ramadan Sports Tournament: Al Habtoor, Al Joker to meet in futsal finals

Al Habtoor will take on defending champions Al Joker in the futsal final of the Nad Al Sheba Ramadan Sports Tournament after bouncing from 0-2 down to beat YLS-1 6-3 in the semis.

Al Joker faced few problems in the other semis, cruising to a facile 5-0 win over Fohood Jumeirah.

YLS-1 were up 2-0 after only two minutes with their Russian and Brazilian recruits, Ivan Chishkala and Gelson Saiotti Junior, finding the net early. Al Habtoor, however, managed to claw back and level the scores by halftime, courtesy goals from their Brazilian duo of Jean Pierre Guisel “Pito” and Dovenir Domingues De Paiva

De Paiva then struck a second four minutes into the second session, but Junior equalised for YLS-1 within seconds. That, however, was the last of YLS-1 strikes as Hamad Al Shamsi booted home Al Habtoor’s fourth from close in the 12th minute and, three minutes later, De Paiva struck his third of the night to put their side in control. Pito later scored his second to put the result beyond doubt.

In the other semis, Miguel Sayago Marti found the net twice for Al Joker, while Marcenio Ribeiro Da Silva, Edelson Robson Dos Santos and Wael Al Dhanhani scored once each.
