Graham Caygill writes the Hungaroring featured some of the most exciting racing of the season: "Great overtaking, collisions, spins, a front wing failing at high speed, mechanical failures and pit-lane penalties galore.
“The Hungarian Grand Prix had it all during 69 laps of racing that at times bordered on pure mayhem, but fittingly it was the man who had the quietest afternoon who departed Budapest the happiest.
“Sebastian Vettel led from the first corner to the last in his Ferrari to win for the 41st time in his Formula One career. The German dedicated the victory to the memory of Jules Bianchi, the Frenchman who last weekend succumbed to the head injuries he suffered in last October’s Japanese Grand Prix.”
Meanwhile, as Mercedes drivers Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg finished sixth and eighth, double world champion Hamilton admitted Hungary showed the Formula One front-runners are human.
"Today was weird," Hamilton said. "Do I deserve any points? I didn't give up and drove as hard as I could.
“To come away from one of the worst performances I’ve put in a long, long time ... it shows we are human.”
