AC Milan take a seven-game unbeaten run into their meeting with the surprise co-leaders Napoli today. After losing their opening two games, Milan have won six and drawn one, leaving the Rossoneri only one point behind Napoli and Udinese. "Our goal is to get to first place," the Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti said. The Udinese defender Maurizio Domizzi believes the Bianconeri fully deserve to be at the top of the table ahead of their home tie with Genoa today.
Udinese, joint on 20 points with Domizzi's former club, have enjoyed a dream start to the season having lost just once while racking up six wins. "Udinese and Napoli can cause problems for the big teams until the end of the season," Domizzi said. Genoa are on a run of four games unbeaten, including their first away point of the season at Inter Milan. Lazio go into their clash against Catania hoping their poor form this month has been consigned to the past. They collected just one point from a possible nine before they beat Chievo 2-1 on Wednesday, an own goal from Andrea Mantovani eight minutes from time handing them their fifth win of the campaign.

The National photo project
Chris Whiteoak, a photographer at The National, spent months taking some of Jacqui Allan's props around the UAE, positioning them perfectly in front of some of the country's most recognisable landmarks. He placed a pirate on Kite Beach, in front of the Burj Al Arab, the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland at the Burj Khalifa, and brought one of Allan's snails (Freddie, which represents her grandfather) to the Dubai Frame. In Abu Dhabi, a dinosaur went to Al Ain's Jebel Hafeet. And a flamingo was taken all the way to the Hatta Mountains. This special project suitably brings to life the quirky nature of Allan's prop shop (and Allan herself!).
A little about CVRL
Founded in 1985 by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, the Central Veterinary Research Laboratory (CVRL) is a government diagnostic centre that provides testing and research facilities to the UAE and neighbouring countries.
One of its main goals is to provide permanent treatment solutions for veterinary related diseases.
The taxidermy centre was established 12 years ago and is headed by Dr Ulrich Wernery.

Ziina users can donate to relief efforts in Beirut
Ziina users will be able to use the app to help relief efforts in Beirut, which has been left reeling after an August blast caused an estimated $15 billion in damage and left thousands homeless. Ziina has partnered with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees to raise money for the Lebanese capital, co-founder Faisal Toukan says. “As of October 1, the UNHCR has the first certified badge on Ziina and is automatically part of user's top friends' list during this campaign. Users can now donate any amount to the Beirut relief with two clicks. The money raised will go towards rebuilding houses for the families that were impacted by the explosion.”
