Marseille and Lyon hope their new signings can spark an upturn in fortunes. Marseille, the defending champions who lost their first two matches, have added strikers Loic Remy and Andre-Pierre Gignac. Lyon have brought in forward Jimmy Briand and playmaker Yoann Gourcuff. Marseille visit Bordeaux tomorrow and Lyon face Lorient today. Bordeaux have followed a different path because of financial constraints. They lost their two most prized assets - striker Marouane Chamakh, who joined Arsenal, and Gourcuff, who left for Lyon. But coach Jean Tigana is adamant about their potential. "In training sessions, it's perfect," Tigana said. "We aren't managing to reproduce it in matches and we must succeed in doing that. But we're on the right track."
