After the latest round of English Premer League matches, Richard Jolly selects his team of the week.

Goalkeeper: Thibaut Courtois (Chelsea)

Cesc Fabregas got the winner at QPR, but Courtois stopped Chelsea from going behind with a brilliant save from Matt Phillips.

Right-back: Leandro Bacuna (Aston Villa)

Continued his renaissance by setting up Christian Benteke’s winner at Tottenham. Helped keep a clean sheet, too.

Centre-back: Jose Fonte (Southampton)

The leader of the most frugal defence in the division secured another shutout as Hull couldn’t score in defeat at St Mary’s.

Centre-back: Robert Huth (Leicester)

Has always been a threat at set pieces and the giant German scored a vital equaliser in the win at West Bromwich Albion.

Left-back: Aaron Cresswell (West Ham)

Scored a brilliant free kick against Stoke to indicate just how much ability he has. Cresswell has been an excellent buy.

Right midfield: Jamie Vardy (Leicester)

Gave Leicester a lifeline in their battle against the drop with a dramatic winner at West Brom. It summed up Vardy’s indefatigable nature.

Centre midfield: Francis Coquelin (Arsenal)

Once again, gave a demonstration of the defensive midfielder’s art as he tackled, hassled and harried in the win at Burnley.

Centre midfield: Marouane Fellaini (Manchester United)

Dominated Manchester City with a powerful derby display. The Belgian scored the all-important second goal.

Left midfield: Ashley Young (Manchester United)

Fellaini’s rival for the man-of-the-match award at Old Trafford, where he scored the first and made the second.

Centre forward: Christian Benteke (Aston Villa)

Continued his remarkable renaissance under Tim Sherwood with a goal to make his tally four in two games.

Centre forward: Yannick Bolasie (Crystal Palace). Shifted into a central role, the winger responded brilliantly with an 11-minute hat-trick in the thrashing of Sunderland.
