South Africa batsman JP Duminy, who hit a 57 off 94 balls yesterday in the first day of the Test in Abu Dhabi, was frank in his comments about his side's performance, the marvelous Hashim Amla excepted.

Among other things, he noted that 245/8, where the Proteas ended the day through 90 overs, wasn't enough.

"Stats show that you tend to lose wickets up front and in the end of a day's play so unfortunately we fell to that. Look all we can do is make sure that we come tomorrow with a positive frame of mind and try and get as much runs as we can and start well with the ball," he said.
