Jamaica may have been knocked out of Copa America by Argentina on Saturday night, but striker Deshorn Brown was not going to allow that to ruin his fun.
Brown, who plays his football for Valerenga in Norway’s top division, took the chance at the final whistle to take a selfie with Argentina captain Lionel Messi.
Although an activity more commonly associated with supporters, Brown was not going to waste his once-in-a-lifetime chance and produced his phone for a quick snap.
Messi duly obliged the Jamaican and stood politely for a few moments as Brown clicked away.
Brown’s selfie is particularly special as he was the first person to have a photograph with Messi following his 100th game for Argentina.
The South Americans won the match 1-0 thanks to a Gonzalo Higuain goal and have progressed to the quarter-finals as Group B winners. Uruguay also advance as runners-up.
