Kings XI Punjab kept themselves in the hunt to reach the play-offs in the Indian Premier League on Sunday as they beat Delhi Daredevils by 10 wickets.

Sandeep Sharma (4-20) struck three times in the first five overs to leaving Delhi struggling, and Corey Anderson who top-scored with 18 was one of only three batsmen to make double figures as they were bowled out for just 67.

Punjab took only 7.5 overs to reach their victory target, with Martin Guptill striking an unbeaten 50 off 27 balls as they triumphed on 68-0.

The result moves Punjab to fifth in the table, two points behind fourth-place Royal Pune Supergiant, with five regular-season games remaining.

Warner leads Sunrisers

In Sunday’s other match, Sunrisers Hyderabad captain David Warner hit 126 off just 59 balls as his side cruised to an emphatic 48-run win over Kolkata Knight Riders.

Warner’s knock was the backbone of the defending champions scoring 209-3 off their 20 overs, and Kolkata never looked like getting near that as they could only make 161-7 in their innings.
