Defending champion Jordan Spieth fired a six-under par 66 Thursday to seize a two-stroke lead after the opening round of the 80th Masters at Augusta National.
The American, 22, matched the low first round by any reigning Masters champion to lead for a record fifth consecutive round, with Ireland’s Shane Lowry and New Zealand’s Danny Lee sharing second on 68.
