Sadio Mane and Thiago Alcantara gave Liverpool a lift as they returned to training ahead of Saturday's Merseyside derby against Everton. Mane and Thiago looked fit as they joined their teammates at Melwood on Tuesday, having completed their self-isolation after both recently tested positive for Covid-19. Also playing a big part in the session was forward Mohamed Salah, who scored for Egypt against Eswatini in the African Nations Cup last Friday, and then returned to Liverpool with no midweek international fixture for his country. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp must now decide if Mane and Thiago are fit to face their big rivals in the first Premier League game of the weekend, at Goodison. Carlo Ancelotti's side have won all four league games this season, and sit on top of the table. Mane and Thiago missed Liverpool's last game, a 7-2 humiliation at Aston Villa. Thiago has only played half a match since his move from Bayern Munich, coming on at half time in their 2-0 win at Chelsea in September.
