Among the thousands of people celebrating Chelsea's Champions League triumph inside the Estadio do Dragao on Saturday, there was one man in particular who stood out. Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich was a beaming presence from the stands and when he joined his players and coach, Thomas Tuchel, on the pitch to take pictures with the trophy and congratulate the squad and staff. The Russian billionaire, who bought Chelsea in 2003 and has overseen the most successful period in the club's history, could be seen shaking hands and exchanging words with Tuchel and posing for photos alongside club captain Cesar Azpilicueta. Chelsea beat Premier League rivals Manchester City 1-0 in the final, with German forward Kai Havertz scoring the only goal of the game. Abramovich has witnessed Chelsea become European champions once before, in 2012, and the era under his ownership has seen 17 major trophies: five Premier League titles, five FA Cups, three League Cups, two Europa League titles, and two Champions League titles.
