Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski and manager Hansi Flick have been named on the shortlist for the Best Fifa Football Awards after their treble-winning campaign last season. Lewandowski, top scorer for Bayern in the Champions League (15 goals) and Bundesliga (34), was a firm favourite for the Ballon d'Or award before it was scrapped this year for the first time in its 64-year history due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, the Polish striker can still lay claim to being the best player in the world if he picks up the Fifa award, which will be presented on December 17. Also on the shortlist are the usual big guns of Lionel Messi at Barcelona and Juventus' Cristiano Ronaldo. Fans will also be allowed to make their vote count with public voting on Fifa's website open until December 9. The top three finalists in each category will be announced on December 11. The Puskas Award for 2020's best goal includes Tottenham forward Son Heung-min's superb solo strike against Burnley last December. Jordan Flores' outrageous volley for Dundalk against Shamrock Rovers in the League of Ireland is also shortlisted, along with Sophie Ingle's effort for Chelsea against Arsenal and a fine goal for Manchester City's Caroline Weir against Manchester United.
