Chelsea showed why they are champions as Tottenham Hotspur striker retains the Golden Boot with a ridiculous seven goals in his final two games.

Goalkeeper: Jack Butland (Stoke City)

Southampton recorded six shots on target at St Mary’s. Butland kept all out as Stoke’s season ended on a winning note and with a clean sheet.

Right-back: Hector Bellerin (Arsenal)

His early goal against Everton raised hopes of a top-four finish and may at least secure the Spaniard a place in next week’s FA Cup final line-up.

Centre-back: Gabriel (Arsenal)

Arsenal had to play with 10 men and without their best defender for 75 minutes against Everton, but Gabriel compensated for Laurent Koscielny’s red card.

Centre-back: James Collins (West Ham United)

Wins at Turf Moor have been hard to secure this season. Collins was a rock at the back as his side beat Burnley.

Left-back: Ben Davies (Tottenham Hotspur)

Scored his first Premier League goal for Tottenham from long range as he helped them finish in style by thrashing Hull City 7-1.

Right midfield: Willian (Chelsea)

Got Chelsea back on track with the equaliser against Sunderland as the champions went on to rout the relegated side 5-1.

Centre midfield: Kevin de Bruyne (Manchester City)

Two more assists took him to a league-best 18 and his pass for Sergio Aguero’s first goal at Watford was delightful

Centre midfield: Georginio Wijnaldum (Liverpool)

Hammered the goal that put Liverpool ahead against Middlesbrough and in effect guaranteed their top-four finish.

Left midfield: Josh Harrop (Manchester United)

The 21-year-old midfielder marked his Manchester United debut with the opening goal in the 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace.

Striker: Sergio Aguero (Manchester City)

A double at Watford took Aguero to 33 goals, his best total for City, and made it even better news he is staying at the Etihad.

Striker: Harry Kane (Tottenham)

Finished the season with a ridiculous seven goals in four days to become just the fifth player to retain the Golden Boot.
