It was as easy as any win comes in the Premier League and carefree Mahrez led the charge as he taunted Brighton, shaking off continued transfer speculation. He was back to the form which earned him the PFA Player of the Year award in 2016 during Leicester's shock title success. Southampton 3 West Ham United 2 Southampton: Gabbiadini (11'), Tadic (38' pen) West Ham: Hernandez (45', 74') Red card: Marko Arnautovic (West Ham) Charlie Austin's stoppage-time penalty sealed Southampton's 3-2 win over 10-man West Ham United at St Mary's. Southampton raced into a two-goal lead, ending their home drought at 556 minutes, as Manolo Gabbiadini and Dusan Tadic found the net. Marko Arnautovic was red carded for an elbow on Jack Stephens, while former Southampton defender Jose Fonte conceded the penalty that allowed Tadic to put the hosts 2-0 to the good. Italy striker Gabbiadini ended his own nine-match barren run, with the hosts seemingly coasting after two goals and with West Ham reduced to 10 men. Javier Hernandez poached two goals to level the scores however, and Southampton appeared to be heading for a frustrating draw. But Pablo Zabaleta fouled Maya Yoshida at the death, and Austin dispatched the second spot kick of the match, to seal the spoils. Swansea City 0 Manchester United 4 Man United: Bailly (45'), Lukaku (80'), Pogba (82'), Martial (84') Manchester United maintained their dream Premier League start as goals from Eric Bailly, Romelu Lukaku, Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial secured a 4-0 victory at Swansea City on Saturday. Having put West Ham United to the sword with another 4-0 win in their opening game of the new campaign, United looked like being made to settle for a narrower scoreline for much of the game in South Wales. But after they had claimed the lead at the end of a tight first half through Bailly's first goal for the club, they netted three times in a stylish five-minute spell late in the game to give the scoreline an emphatic look. It meant maximum points, eight goals and two clean sheets in their opening two games for Jose Mourinho's side. Swansea were aggrieved that Pogba remained on the field to score after escaping a second yellow card for a foul on Martin Olsson late in the first half. Lukaku doubled United's lead on 80 minutes when he finished coolly after a neat pass from Henrikh Mkhitaryan. That was the signal for Swansea's defence to go missing as Mkhitaryan fed Pogba, who beat Lukasz Fabianski with a neat chip on 82 minutes to make it 3-0.
