With many of his squad away on international duty, Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solksjaer has been gearing up for a massive April fixture list which will go a long way to determining the success of their season. United have not played since March 21 - a disappointing 3-1 defeat at Leicester City in the FA Cup - and Solskjaer blamed the defeat on player fatigue, saying: "We couldn't find the normal spark, brightness and energy. "Maybe all the games caught up with us. We didn't have the zip." While the likes of Paul Pogba, Luke Shaw, Bruno Fernandes, and other Old Trafford stars have been away representing their countries, the rest of the squad have been enjoying more relaxed sessions at the club's training ground. They will need all the rest they can get, with six games slated over 22 days in April. Their action gets underway on Sunday, when they host Brighton in the Premier League. United are a distant 14 points behind leaders Manchester City, but will be desperate for maximum points to cement a place in next season's Champions League. Next Thursday, April 8, United travel to Granada for the first leg of their quarter-final in the Europa League, a competition offering their remaining hope of picking up silverware this season. United then host Tottenham in the Premier League on April 11, play the second leg against Granada at Old Trafford on April 15, and then a home game against Burnley three days later. The busy April schedule ends at Leeds on April 25. Despite the daunting fixture list, Solskjaer looked relaxed in training with his players, including Fred, Brandon Williams and Nemanja Matic.
