Manchester City star Rose Lavelle relishing FA Cup final challenge against Everton

Manchester City's World Cup winner Rose Lavelle is targeting more silverware when she takes part in her first FA Cup final on Sunday.

City are aiming to lift the trophy for the second time in succession, following their 3-0 win over West Ham United last year, when they take on Everton at Wembley in the 50th women's FA Cup Final.

Lavelle was part of the USA team which lifted the World Cup in 2019, scoring their second goal in the final, and she now hopes to get her hands on another trophy with the club she joined in August.

“I am massively looking forward to the FA Cup final – the football in England has so much history and tradition to it and on top of the actual game it will be an occasion to remember,” she said.

“I am thankful overall to Manchester City for giving me the chance to keep playing football every day – and although it was always going to be a challenge to adapt, being part of the team is so enjoyable.”
