The Manchester derby: a match to get the nerves frayed and fans wringing their hands with anxiety.

It should be the same with the Merseyside version, only in midweek it seemed to be a no contest as Everton surrendered to their Liverpool rivals by conceding four first-half goals.

If Ole Gunnar Solksjaer's United side do the same at Manchster City, then the knives will be out for the manager. He earned himself some breathing space with the win over Tottenham in midweek but nothing lasts long in football and there is no match more intense than this one.

City v United is the pick of the games this weekend, kicking off on Saturday at 9.30pm. The day starts at 4.30pm when Everton host Chelsea, and among the 7pm matches Liverpool go to Bournemouth aiming to extend their eight-point lead at the top.

A busy Sunday has three games at 5pm, with Leicester hoping to hold on to second spot after their trip to Aston Villa.

The conclusion this week is on Monday when West Ham host Arsenal, two clubs who would have hoped for better seasons.
