Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp warned against placing too much expectation on his young stars after a number impressed in the 3-0 FA Cup third-round replay win over Exeter.
Sheyi Ojo, with a brilliant individual effort, and Joao Carlos Teixeira scored their first senior goals on their Anfield debuts after Joe Allen, one of three experienced players in the side, had put them ahead in the first half.
The likes of Cameron Brannagan and Brad Smith also impressed but Klopp insists it is too early to be pushing them for full first-team involvement.

“It is a long way for these young boys but they showed what they are already able to do and what they have to learn,” he said.
“If everyone stays cool ... it is not protecting them but giving the lads time to develop.
“Tonight was a good moment, there were a few things which were impressive but a lot of things to learn.
"The target at the end of the road has to be [playing for] Liverpool FC in the Premier League and for this you have to be ready.
“We cannot bring them all in every week in the Premier League.
“A few months ago when I said we need to have all our best players here (Ryan) Kent, Ojo, (Kevin) Stewart and Tiago (Ilori) were on loan.”
Another positive on the night was the return of Scouser Jon Flanagan 619 days after his last appearance having finally recovered from two knee operations.
He was given a warm welcome by Anfield and that pleased Klopp.
“When he came in it was a great moment after this long time,” he said.
“I’ve not had him too often in training because we need to be careful with him.
“It was a real emotional moment when everyone stood up and clapped.
“I don’t think anyone deserved it more than him. It is such an unbelievably long time he was injured but he has never been in a bad mood.
“Hopefully now it goes on and we have to see how he feels tomorrow. It was one of the best pieces of news we could get.”
On the result itself Klopp added: “I could see the lads enjoyed it. They worked hard, created chances and scored wonderful goals.
“They made mistakes but reacted the right way. First half they were really experienced so it was really hard work but I was pleased with the performance.
“A few weeks ago I couldn’t think I would enjoy a rematch in the FA Cup but I did.”

Tips on buying property during a pandemic
Islay Robinson, group chief executive of mortgage broker Enness Global, offers his advice on buying property in today's market.
While many have been quick to call a market collapse, this simply isn’t what we’re seeing on the ground. Many pockets of the global property market, including London and the UAE, continue to be compelling locations to invest in real estate.
While an air of uncertainty remains, the outlook is far better than anyone could have predicted. However, it is still important to consider the wider threat posed by Covid-19 when buying bricks and mortar.
Anything with outside space, gardens and private entrances is a must and these property features will see your investment keep its value should the pandemic drag on. In contrast, flats and particularly high-rise developments are falling in popularity and investors should avoid them at all costs.
Attractive investment property can be hard to find amid strong demand and heightened buyer activity. When you do find one, be prepared to move hard and fast to secure it. If you have your finances in order, this shouldn’t be an issue.
Lenders continue to lend and rates remain at an all-time low, so utilise this. There is no point in tying up cash when you can keep this liquidity to maximise other opportunities.
Keep your head and, as always when investing, take the long-term view. External factors such as coronavirus or Brexit will present challenges in the short-term, but the long-term outlook remains strong.
Finally, keep an eye on your currency. Whenever currency fluctuations favour foreign buyers, you can bet that demand will increase, as they act to secure what is essentially a discounted property.
A cheaper choice
Vanuatu: $130,000
Why on earth pick Vanuatu? Easy. The South Pacific country has no income tax, wealth tax, capital gains or inheritance tax. And in 2015, when it was hit by Cyclone Pam, it signed an agreement with the EU that gave it some serious passport power.
Cost: A minimum investment of $130,000 for a family of up to four, plus $25,000 in fees.
Criteria: Applicants must have a minimum net worth of $250,000. The process take six to eight weeks, after which the investor must travel to Vanuatu or Hong Kong to take the oath of allegiance. Citizenship and passport are normally provided on the same day.
Benefits: No tax, no restrictions on dual citizenship, no requirement to visit or reside to retain a passport. Visa-free access to 129 countries.
