Liverpool will have a spring in their step when they visit Atletico Madrid's Wanda Metropolitano on Tuesday for the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 clash. Liverpool are sailing towards a first Premier League title in 30 years after dropping just two points the entire season and are likely to be crowned English champions well before time. Adding to the positive vibe in the Reds camp is the venue for their Champions League clash – the Wanda Metropolitano where they famously won the European crown last June. Jurgen Klopp's team remain on course for a major trophy haul this season; they have already won the UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup. They trained on Monday ahead of their intriguing clash with Atletico, a team that has embraced a similar style of football but has struggled to maintain standards. At least Simeone is likely to have strikers Alvaro Morata and Diego Costa available for the match. Morata went on as a substitute in Saturday’s 2-2 draw at Valencia; he hadn’t played since hurting a muscle in his right leg at the beginning of the month. Costa hasn’t played since undergoing surgery on a herniated disc in November. Simeone has said the Brazilian player should be ready to play on Tuesday.
