Liverpool edge Mersey derby, Chelsea impress again under Tuchel: Premier League predictions

We pick out the winners and losers from the latest round of English top-flight fixtures

SUNDAY: West Ham v Tottenham (4pm) - Just 11 points from Tottenham's last 11 Premier League games, and a West Ham side probably over-performing in fifth place. PREDICTION: West Ham 1 Tottenham 1. Reuters

Aston Villa v Leicester City (6pm) - A month ago Villa were on fire, but have just started to drop off, while Leicester are looking very solid again. PREDICTION: Aston Villa 0 Leicester 1. EPA

Arsenal v Manchester City (8.30pm) - An incredible 17 wins in succession for Manchester City in all competitions, while Arsenal languish in 10th. One one winner here. PREDICTION: Arsenal 1 Manchester City 3. EPA

Manchester United v Newcastle (11pm) - Just one win in four league games for Manchester United, but it was 9-0 against Southampton, and while there's the impossibly good Bruno Fernandes, there's hope. PREDICTION: Manchester United 3 Newcastle 0. Reuters

MONDAY: Brighton v Crystal Palace (midnight) - Palace have started to look very shaky, while Brighton haven't been beaten in the Premier League since January 13. PREDICTION: Brighton 1 Crystal Palace 0. PA

Manchester City are going for an incredible 18th win in succession in all competitions when they visit Arsenal on Sunday, a remarkable record-breaking run.

They have established a ten-point lead in the Premier League, as all the challengers fail to find any consistency. With only 14 games remaining, it looks like Pep Guardiola will be strolling to another trophy.

After Wolves' 1-0 win over Leeds on Friday night, the Premier League action continues on Saturday with Chelsea's trip to Southampton, followed by Burnley v West Brom, a humdinger derby in Liverpool v Everton, and Fulham v Sheffield United.

On Sunday, West Ham take on Tottenham, and Aston Villa are up against Leicester City, before City's bid to extend their record. The day's events conclude with Manchester United against Newcastle.

The final game of this round is on Monday, when Brighton face Crystal Palace.
